The fashion week ensures to project the dynamic and confident face of Indian design talent which has the potential to match and possibly surpass the best international standards. The list of designers who are to showcase consists of an eclectic mix of top notch and emerging young designers, whose creativity is unbounded.

The Delhi Fashion Week is all geared up to set new benchmarks for the Indian fashion industry creating greater opportunities for designers. The mainstay of the event is to bring the most creative talent to the forefront and make Delhi an important fashion destination.
Delhi Fashion Week promises to present a mix of renowned and emerging fashion talent in the country. Prominent buyers from all over the globe are expected to arrive as they have major interest in the Indian designers as well as the Indian fashion trends.

Make up, integral part of fashion parade or shoot, and currently at DFW duo makeup artist Jojo and Yatan Ahluwalia are painting faces gracefully with pre-preparation of their complicated job. Both the makeup artists have decided to give full justice to the designer’s collection. They are equipped with 18 assistants and they are doing their coloring job within a 3 hours before the show. MAC is the brand through which they are creating perfect shades suitable for the collection.

It is wrongly assumed that makeup artist start their brushes on the very day of event however, the fact is not so. In case of fashion weeks the makeup artist keep meeting designers to get adiquate knowledge about their collection. Any makeup artist requires more than a month to think and machinate the looks. There they discuss several things related to ramp as well like colors, lights and many more so on that basis they visualize the look of the model on the ramp. One of the duo said “some designers prefer a perticular color but they wanted us to use the different shae of the same color”.
The cosmetics used by such professional are so advanced that makeup for stage absorbs the light and gives a more dramatic look on the ramp. Looking from the designer’s angel they don’t only deal with garments their area of concern includes make up and the model as model is dominant and influential factor contributing their designs and makeup enhances the creation.

Rio Fashion Week 2009
As we were suiting up like skiers here in NYC, our globe-trotting lensman friend Pete Miszuk was heading south to Fashion Rio where he was once again happy to document his escapades (and a much-MUCH sunnier clime) just for us.
An email from him midweek told of being carted out to the jungle to watch a fashion show under a rainforest canopy with butterflies fluttering everywhere (unreal! And to think we just have Exit Art!). We’re just thankful we can live vicariously through him. Check out more of Pete’s adventures in paradise, from the runways to the streets.
Above, from left: “The quintessential Brazilian fashion week style shot.” “Rio is truly a city contrasts. You have the beauty of the beach and behind that you have the favellas, but no matter what you always have the most breathtaking views. Here’s a shot of sunset with Christo in the background.”
Above: “The Redley show took place in the middle of the jungle on a mountaintop about an hour outside of the city. During the show there were huge butterflies floating everywhere in the air. It was completely surreal.”
“Fashion Rio really is one of the best fashion weeks you can experience with all your senses.”

China Fashion Week
BEIJING, March 25 (Xinhua) — China Fashion Week kicked off in Beijing on Tuesday and the stage was given to young designers from across the nation and the world.
Young designers from 18 countries and regions showed their creative ideas as they competed for the 17th International Young Fashion Designer Contest – the “Hempel Award”, according to Wednesday’s China Daily.
Most dresses flapping down the runway were one-piece concoctions, featuring straight cuts, cold and simple colors.
White, black, dark-blue and brown were the only colors used to express the spirit of the show: “simple is best”.
“Simplicity is always in vogue, but this year it attracts more attention because of economics,” said Shi Zhiqiang, Time Out Beijing fashion editor.
“China’s fashion circle is not as influenced by the recession as those in the foreign countries, but we too won’t see fancy garments with much embellishment in this year’s fashion week,” Shi said.
